It was Eric Nutall not "Capital E" Eric Sprott. But the comment was correct, it's their top holding with 7.4% weight  in the portfolio.Bob

Almost time to sell here, watch for the famous BNN sprott pump and dump\thye did it with so many stocksTimminco, Questerre, Intrinsic Software, Forbes Energy, Northstar Healthcare  just to name a few.

IMHO, listen to moneydigger, this statement is correct. When the analyst tell you to 'buy', they are 'selling'. This stock has had a very good run up lately. Everytime that this stock is a Top Pick on BNN, everyone runs out the next morning to 'buy' it. The fundamentals have not changed, much, just the HYPE, part of the pump and dump marketing strategy out there. No ...more

Another thing, if it was valued at $20, wouldnt there be more insider buying on it.  I know if I worked for a company that was worth 2X more, I would buy lots of it.

So if you are selling where do you go?I'm thinking GTE.Drilling now in elephant country!Bob

What? we are not at $20 yet???Thank Mr. Nuttall, gave me a chance to sell at $9.20Looking for entry point in GTE now.  GL all!
Comment by Bob_Brant on Feb 10, 2011 9:50am
Talk about reading my mind...Sold WFE at $9.20 and bought GTE at $8,75...maybe too early but I'm happy.I might reverse the trade if WFe goes back to $8.30.Bob

Good excitement created by Nuttall's call yesterday on BNN....I hazard a guess in the 8.00s a good entry, 9.00+ too much rise from BNN.Cheers,Dave.

Did they ever pump Timminco, they said it was going to $100, they pushed it all the way up to $30 range and they started dumping, then we all know what happened.
Comment by BCsilver on Feb 11, 2011 6:56pm
Timminco had them all fooled (imho), David Burrows one of the best on BNN said it would be top ten company in Canada if i recall things right President, Chief Investment StrategistAs President and Chief Investment Strategist, David provides the Barometer team with top-down and quantitative analysis on market and sector risk, along with leadership themes. they also pumped Pan Ocean, Points International, Blue Pearl (Thompson Creek), and Questerre. Lost money on all of them.
Comment by moneydigger on Feb 12, 2011 5:15pm
True enough , forgot Points International, that was Peter Hodson's pump and dump!

Blue Pearl??????   Have to defend that pick by Hodson.  If you got in when it was called blue pearl I believe you had to have made money!  Rode blue pearl from mid 3's to low 20's (still have a bit of tcm).  But cant disagree with you.............i have soured on the sprott nerds (nuttall and hodson) .................something has changed with the two of them. ...more
