Hes protectionist and nationalist USA. I dont think protectionism is in anyone's interest including the host country. Every country in the world has benefited from the rise in Chinas manufacturing industry over the last decades. We save money buying stuff at half price so we can spend it elsewhere. In Chinas case I agree they go too far with intellectual theft and trying to impose their political will on others but we cant deny they've saved everyone a lot of money with their industrialisation including Joe American. Taken too far anything can be bad. He's also smarter than me which pisses me off, a bit manic, a bit arrogant, and he's an economist. And they are all dycks. 9 out of 10 of them are wrong 99% of the time. I read his last book and it was a mess. But as I said, Rickards looks at things differentlly than most which is why I like listening to him. And I think he's right about most things he talks about.
