New CEOI hadn't been following the company for a while . Its very good news that Gougarty is gone . She was a disaster for the company . She presented herself and the company in a very poor manner .
on a BNN interview last year . I posted April 18 and Nov 16 last year about that sad performance .
I still think there is a market for Westports products . In Canada diesel prices are about 12 cents per liter higher than regular gasoline . They're flaring millions of ft3 per day nat gas in the Bakken . In the past few years they have been targetting the oil prone zones of the shales , mainly the Permian and the Bakken . But there will still be prolific gas reserves when the oil declines . An mcf natgas has 1/6 the energy content of oil but trades at 1/20 the price .
Today I read an article about LNG powered ships . The company that built the engines has 20 in servicenad 136 on order . I know these won't be Westport , I'm just saying the market for LNG engines has not gone away . More research required ( JMHO )
