RE: you cant compare KCL to WPXhi,
kcl had around 120 million shares,a tripple less than wpx, they have around 180 million.
but,the potash-market shows changed outlooks now and wpx seems to have better economics in their upcoming pre/feasibilty than kcl, depending the cost per tonne (opex).
multiplicate a possible advantage (higher soil temperature) of 1-2-3 bucks p.t. with the production-capacity and the whole minelife, divide this advantage, for the fair pleasure of the seller/buyerside.
whatever, it´s hard to compare both companies exactly at the moment , but i would say, don´t take a look only at the amounts of shares or the kci amounts.
if done, take a look at the upcoming pre/feasibilty and compare it with kcl´s feasibility.
if wpx can really manage it to use the waste water of regina, it could be another urgent advantage (opex) to.
we´ll see.
