Recoverable KCl tonnes: We have assumed several factors in determining our
estimate of recoverable KCl. We multiply the 673 million tonnes of M&I sylvinite
tonnage by the weighted average KCl grade of 19%. We then assume an
extraction ratio of 85% and adjust for losses due to unknown anomalies (10%)
and deduct 15% for mining and plant losses. This gives us a recoverable KCl
resource of 82 million tonnes.
