RE: Deal Wake up, Cacheitup. You still have chance to abandon the sinking KRN ship and jump over to WPX. The KRN mine would never happen unless there is a big boy like CNOOC to support it. Chinese are very smart guys. That's why they are so successful while others like US and Canada are still in struggle. I totally believe they had done thorough research on KRN as well before they made decision to partner with WPX. The result is that they gave up KRN because they thought KRN is not a good investment compared to WPX. The $3.3B is a giant terrible monster for GFSC but it's only a little chick for CNOOC. You have no idea how the china state-owned companies do business. They would never care about making small money like $50m or $60m by stealing WPX from investors. It is shameful for them to do business in that way.
