RE:EducationI understand what you're asking - the transactions in the US market on 3/1 all appear to occur at 1.27 or 1.28. No transactions in the final minute leading up to 4:00pm at 1.23
When I look at my position, the only thing it says is "Last 1.23" but in the itemized detail, no transaction at that price. And, by definition, that is the Closing price for the day, and that rolls up into position and portfolio value.
In the end it doesn't really matter, because the price will obviously change again at market open on Monday morning. After hours and pre-market transactions don't "count" in the closing value of a position or account. So, can anyone produce a final minute list of transactions for Friday 3/1 that shows the last was actually at 1.23?
