Metal you are sooo right
That is the greatest investment advice ever given. Hard to follow when there's blood on the streets but nevertheless the best advice out there.

patient for 16 years? Don't kidding me, I don't think it is a good strategy for such "long time". No offencee, but it is truth.

Mr. Vitton is the person who can buy and provide support for the Market cap now, don't just take the benefit, you should put the real money and take the responsibility.

metal, I agree with your theory, it will make you stable. But I still don't agree to be patient for 16 years, it is a failure to myself. For vitton, he got huge cheap option , but I didn't see his contribution, that's why I complaint, maybe I am wrong, he can show us what he have done.he is a banker, only bring the huge dilution, that's it, or he can show us.

What he "brought to us" will only be evident when the deal is done. My beleif is that at that time, we will see obvious value in having him on the team.

pappy, I am not target you guys, I just said to myself, 5 years in this stock is a type of failure. You guys have low cost,so you guys did great. Mining is boring, this year should be my last year on this , then I need switch to some tech stock with my WTN position.

I am afraid that deflation will come, commodity cycle will down, global demand maybe drop, so WRN is good asset, but if we miss the super cycle, maybe it will need another 10 years.

I believe there is current general economist belief that Inflation is here for a while. I believe there is also commodity analyst concensus that the commodity supercycle, especially in metals, is just building and nowhere near any sort of tapering.

natal, from USA GDP new data, recession seems come, does the commodity does the super cycle can continue? Yes, if supply decrease speed is higher than demand decease, the commodity super cycle can continue, I am curious, does Fed will continue their rates hike as planned?

situation is more complex, I am out off mind now, if Fed keep aggressive hike rate as planed, recession come, normally copper will go back to 3.x, but supply decease will support the copper price to avoid it go back to 3.x, Fed hike rates, gold will suppress and tank, gold can go up only on staginflation, recession+inflation happen together, so, hike rates+ staginflation = ? I am out off mind.

At the high price, Rio had better issue new shares(small dilution) to purchase the WRN, it is easy to get more from market. if recession happen, they are hard to get money from market. Be smart. Rio, go and get WRN now.

now, Rio can use small dilution and get WRN, and permit and build for 7 years, next super cycle come, that will be samrt move, if all commodity tanked, Rio will be hard to issue new shares from market, their shareholders will vote for "no" for more dilution.

RIO's most logical choice, IMHO, is to buy WRN outright with an all stock deal. I feel like this is a logical choice for WRN as well. An example may be 1 share RIO for 7 shares WRN. This is near negligible dilution for RIO shareholders and supports a reasonable price for WRN shareholders.

I'm good with that ratio and agree that it would be a good move for Rio. The market wouldn't punish them for the dilution and they would effectively get WRN for free...

Hi GMan: Each one of us has to invest according to our ages and needs. In my 40's I bought tech shares (INTC at $4.00 with several splits) which helped position me to become a WRN shareholder in 2006. I hope you can figure out the best plan for your needs and dreams! Good Luck! Pappy

Pappy - much respect on your dreams of what you would do with your WRN windfall! I know we disagree on what the eventual sale price will be ---but you might actually be spot on - most especially since you have such a great dream of what you will do with what you hope is a big return!!!!

Thanks, "Sooner"! At age 81+ and in my "second career", it would be a nice way to "go out" and leave a legacy. It would make the 16 years of buying and waiting well worth while for many generations in the future. Who knows, maybe you will have enough to do the same!! Good Luck, Pappy
