I believe in a recent interview Paul's has said that there are ongoing discussions with other majors. He did not say who or how far along they've gotten.

I sure hope our decision makers are reasonable!!! for example a $4 usd offer is equivalent to $6 usd if Rio is down 33%.... yep...there u have it Sooner hedging his bets!!!!

I don't care about the price anymore, Paul, just get it done.

from western presentation: top share holders (rio+management+board+institute)only have around 25% shares. But from one old interview of Paul, I got another number shares of "Dale family". It is bigger than 3%. Forgive me that I can't remember clearly. Or you can send email to Paul for exact number.

I am still hoping for an all stick deal with a decent RIO:WRN Ratio of around 1:10ish.

I'm even good with 1:15....and definitely prefer share option of course. Considering Rio down 33%....

Gee whiz Sooner, now the bar has been halved to only $3? At what point does it even make sense to continue to hold the shares........in your wolrd view at least? If you set the bar any lower, you're basically a day-trader, flipper at that point!!

My point is you are unreasonable if you believe any offer in todays environment will be like it was if Rio trading at $90 and WRN trading at $2.8 usd like we were at the recent highs. Agree - perhaps in 5 years when everything is back at peak it's a different story...I personally don't think it will drag out 5 years before WRN finally gives up on the dream of a multi billion offer.....
