Does this mean that a deal is not in the foreseeable future as insiders can't trade around the time of a deal??

Lack of volume suggests nothing happening here anytime soon, don't worry about options. They all get exercised on the buyout anyways.

Furthermore, whether he exercises now or after any news/deal is announced, he's still in the money from $1.20. If they were to buy in the open market, that would more suggest nothing is happening here soon. This is NOT to start another argument about why they do/don't make open market purchases. Just, I wouldn't look to options exercising as to whether something is around the corner.

Sorry but why not? I mean if the option price was $1.2 and they exercise today...and the option still has another year before expiration...then that is a stupid decision unless indeed nothing is going to happen before option expiry.  I think you'd have to look at option expiry date in those that are getting exercised to gain clarity in this. I would think the options being excersised ...more
