How about...

...want to get blunt Crux? This is a project throwing off tens of billions of dollars over a decades long mine life. All capital cost is paid off within 3 years of operation. So quite honestly, quit being such a pus.... about the CAPEX because this is a company maker.

How about that? Incredible we still pay to be on this show.

It seems quite clear to everyone--- that unless there is  another interested major --- that we won't get to my $6 usd prediction within the next year.   Obvioulsy just my opinion, but I believe Paul would even agree with that. You heard during the interview.....throwing out 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70% premium...and it being round off error in the financials....or something to that ...more

Market cap of course helps if the negotiations revolve around premium to market cap.  Of course, one of the fallacies pertaining to this train of thought is that the suitor ALWAYS wants to pretend that they are doing the shareholders of the target company such a favour if they offer say 20 or 30% premium to current trading price in an attempt to pilfer the company away from the owners ...more

Heywood, I love your logic! By the way, I left you a note on the Stockhouse THM bullboard as I did not want to use this space to talk about THM. Oakie 1

A position of strength requires multiple interested parties falling over themselves in their strong desire to have Casino as an asset. At this point we don't have that...we don't even know exactly how bad Rio wants it... what we do know is they continue signing on (albeit dragging feet) and we have MMC who seems interested in concentrate....and we have lots on speculation on at least 2 ...more

You seemed to have missed the part where Paul directly confronts this and shifts back to NPV as a major basis of any buyout price.

Sorry - NPV met Market Cap in a dark alley one day...and NPV was carrying a dull butter knife and market cap was carrying a finely tuned machine gun....  as Paul Harvey would say....'and that's the rest of the story' its clear...no one seems to give a rats arsse about NPV. Even Paul had to explain..."yeah but NPV already factors in capex" in that recent Crux interview. ...more

Sooner  How about this one,,, RIO and MMC get together and make a joint offer in the form of a bought deal ?   Paul negotiates with RIO and MMC an exclusive deal that has a premium of 100% to market $2.50 giving us $5.00 CDN ?   For a junior like WRN, dealing with all the market cycles I say take the money and run,, no more BS ! The market will not give a proper valuation ...more

Look at what the market values WRN at after Paul's interview, knowing where we are at with Pio & MMC. Next steps ? Sooner, Paul admitted that more gold companies have been looking at Casino than copper companies.  Agreed that it makes no sense to go the path of permitting if a buyout will occur shortly thereafter, sorta a waste of money. The alternative is to perserve our optionality and allow the price of the metals to do the work for us.  Trying to "force" something before the end of the ...more
