Soft or Hard landing
Is the question going forward , we will know it within 2 months . If you looked at the charts Wrn would never jump. Gold which usually performs better never helped western. I looked forward to seeing how market will react .so downturns did. never helped western shareholders.
at the same time , management loaded with options and deadline looms for Rio refresh. Most of us hope deal soon although some prefer waiting . Some worry it will be steal some not.
permitting is treacherous in Yukon , BMC short before getting thru first hurdle of permitting after years of struggle has been freezed by FN who objected to Road to mine . They cut the main blood vessel leaving the project it's fate . Quite worried I am .
i have few contacts saying that Western does not have go with tailings yet .
volume is another worry I have .
my question to board here who is favouring deal shortly , what do you do in case no deal ? Or extending deal with Rio another year ? Appreciate your your answers . Regardless of certain price target .
those who can wait ,. Don't need to answer .

if no deal and extend one year, I will cut some position(maybe1/3 - 1/2) , Frankly, Fed may play the quick(just one year) strike rate, all assets may tank, so keep some dry powder for other stocks, then next year get back

Thanks Steve, my worry is the last part which western has to permit . First part ok , getting build .. regardless of future mines , this was needed in any case . second part 50% get ok , Serkirk s ok is missing third part Western has to permit in regards to tailings there is no written or signed agreement, please correct me if there is one

Don't know of an agreement on tailings however was done with consultation of all interested parties - FN, Yukon Government & any other interested parties. They were included in the process so I assume they are OK with the plan, although I'm not positive.

https://www.yukon-news.com/news/significant-concerns-lead-to-human-rights-section-in-yesabs-coffee-gold-project-report/ and no matter what ----you are ALWAYS going to have a subset of the local community that will NEVER support a new mine. These same people will complain about cost of living...high gas prices...demand we go green but not let anyone build a new mine, etc, etc, etc.

I am with you Sooner , long term I have no problem at all . I have 280K shares , 250K of it I recovered my Capital . If it tanks for any reason , recession , Rio ....so on I want to sell and buy again . in case of recession we all know there will be indiscriminate sell off . any investor here with long term vision can sleep without worries but short term risks are mounting in my opinion.
