I thought gold was going up. I haven't paid any attention to this for a long time. Now I wish I hadn't bothered. I noticed large volume, then the small price. Does anyone have any info? Thanks

I own a couple hundred shares, not much, fortunately. They have lots of gold but are at the mercy of the gold market and other corporations. The problem is the gold is high grade, but deep and wet, so mining costs for an open pit will be high, requiring higher gold prices. At $400 gold the stock would roar, at $280, they cannot mine profitably, so barring a major discovery closer to the surface
