Why does this company need finance?

If the company makes decent profits, then no financing is required. There are only 2 cab companies in Toronto who have made money over the years. The others have just hung in there, making just enough money to pay their owners / managers lousy wages. Fareport is not likely to join the 2 winners, since management does not have the "street smarts". The only way this share is going to reach 50 cents is if they consolidate their shares by offering 1 new share for 25 existing shares. What a WINNER? Dead money

Read the past postings - they have an agreement in place to settle a lawsuit - the only catch is the people they are suing are holding the bulk of their debentures. The reasoning for the financing is so they can pay out their debentures (at a discount - according to lou in an earlier posted email) and receive the settlment. At that point the company (i am assuming) will pay down thier financing ...more
