Safe Skies Alliance for Airport Security
Regarding this morning's new release, it appears that Xtract's Smart Gateway system may be used to screen employees at the Oakland International Airport (not passengers). Here is a quote from the news release: "With the recent TSA mandate that airports of a certain size will be required to screen employees, and as airports continue to modernize and advance security protocols, SmartGateway offers reliable and unobtrusive solutions to streamline operations and the overall travel experience.” As Peter stated last year when Xtract received TSA approval, Xtract was not interested in pursuing passenger screening due to the timelines and the enormous amount of red tape to deal with. Employee screening is completely different. What an amazing opportunity given the number of airports arount the US - not to mention the number of airports worldwide.

Indeed and yet another cerfication to set us apart from competition. How many gateways u guys think per airport when screening employees? Multiple entry points always so assuming maybe 10. Awesome if TSA is tightening the control, we are basically among the only few possible solutions

Recently all airports under TSA control has mandated that ALL employees be screened before entering the airport. ALL now means ALL. It hasn't been the case since it started. Only ppl that were seen in the airport were scfeened

Thats bigger of an opportunity than first thought. E can struggle with nyc subway if we have all airport employee screeenings. This is really good and perfect fitting for some partner to focus on these

Do you know if Liberty is TSA or DHS certified?

Liberty is already in a bunch of airports. They have both TSA and they have already done testing with Safe Skies Alliance. We are actually behind them on this...

Good stuff Pandora. Part of the patent covers "Discrimination for Security Screening". WTF!? Why do I feel like that involves our built in facial recognition cameras! #NotSayingJustSaying

@Notacasino: It's not just employees. If you read the end of the quote where it says "streamline operations and the OVERALL TRAVEL EXPERIENCE." The caps referring to travelers. Still, it's a big deal.
