To a point. A company like this might drill 4 wells early in the 4th quarter that have IPs of 250 BOPD plus gas. You want to do a press release with the best year end exit rate so you tie them in but don't turn them on till December and you have 1000 BOPD additional production at year end. The decline rate is high so those 4 wells are doing 750 BOPD in January , 600 in February , and so on.
