Thanks bro, I don't want to play poker or sports gamble as the stock gods have been so good to me.  Cardinal Energy was in top 10 list today....I am in team CJ camp. As I want Montreal to win for Canada...maybe I should put 1k on vegas and to even my stock gains the sports gods will create magic for Monreal to win and me then losing the bet. YGR did have 100k block move buy side ...more

Hi kavern, just checked the wells drilled this winter. it looks really really poor... thoughts?

Hey Derbon I have been trying to figure that out. This is just my "guess/thoughts" only...I suspect the reason for this is YGR was financially going to always have a tight first 6 months of 2021 due to COVID damage in 2020. I suspect they cut the completations budget  back alot in 2021 and didn't frac the wells hard enough.  Look how cheap the per well costs were in Q1.& ...more

I was thinking the same thing derdon99. The wells from the winter have potential. The outer wells always produce way more. The inner wells produce way less. It seems that management continues to drill too close together. Since 2019 they seem to never want to space out more. They keep drilling monsters then drill too close and create a complete dud. Idk if their models show that the decrease in ...more

In Q4 the wells they drilled were way cheaper then normal but Q1 was  crazy cheap..... The drilling and completations spend was 16.5m to drill 7 wells and complete 8 wells.... Like f*ck...5 of those wells completed were 2 mile wells...should have cost 10 million plus just to frac those those 5 wells. Fairly simple...if you don't frac hard enough...the wells will eventually show it....  ...more

Like even look at Petrus and what they spend on drilling and completing per well...way way higher then YGR in Q1 and Petrus is in the same area relatively speaking as YGR. YGR should be spending 3.5M per well.....

Was looking at Spartan which drills in Cardium for 3.5M to 4.5M (same ballpark as your figures)

Derek I don't think this is spacing as even the NG  production s low on some of the Q1 wells. Spacing is a different issue and wouldnt matter as much with these current commodity prices. NG won't come on at high rates without alot of frackin.....

Thanks for that input Kavern.  I wonder if this will effect their recoverability long term? Or if the seemingly tight spacing (imo) with low pressure will eventually recover most of the expected oil? Or if they are leaving it in the ground...
