14% yield

14% yieldWe must always look at Book Yield not present unless of course all your purchases are recent.

In the present situation, perhaps an alternative viewpoint is what is the absolute amount of the dividend.

You hold 22,100 shares of yellow you bought at $ 5.00 that pays you $ 1,000 per month. The shares get taken out at $ 7.50. You now have $ 165,700 to invest. To obtain $ 1,000 per month you only need to acheive 7.1% which you have already done many times within your porfolio.

So maybe a take out is a good thing and having extra Capital to deploy is not a problem.

I am not advocating a take out at $ 7.50, I think a higher price will be forthcoming and the longer the suitor waits the more time Yellow has to continue transformation. Those are my thoughts and I only wear my rose coloured glasses when I look at my wife and children.
