That's a film from the 70's....nobody wore helmets back then.....

No helmets, but you seldom heard about concussions, just "getting your bell rung." Was it just that concussions were under-reported, or was it the lack of armor-plated elbow pads, etc... Did the players have more respect for each other then, or am I glorifying the "good old days?" I'm trying not to turn into my dad.
