RE:i have been way in the last six monthsit is an all share offer , of .6 of a gold field share for each yri share , so if gold fields was trading at $ 10 u.s. , you would have .6 of that  . if you had 10 shares of yri , you would have 6 shares of goldfield , i imagine fractional shares would be paid in cash . to know the value of your 6 shares of gold field , you would need to know the share price of goldfield on the day the yri stock is converted .    no matter what , you will not make out as good as the yri management and directors  do  ...... from the globe and mail .."Yamana executives, board members stand to reap over US$100-million if Gold Fields deal closes
