From side link, the case was already solved july 2017

From side link, the case was already solved july 2017to no avail of the truth since the entities goinng after THO are not interested in the
truth - just winning againstg them.

Since the Xinca council or parliament said in july they didn't have any of their people
living in the region of THO's San Rafael mine.

Case closed right?

Nope, lies have to prevail or how can you say one's lies are truth if don't win in a
rigged court system to make lies the truth.

The whole thing is a farce, banana republic and kangaroo court.

And we know a UN legal team is in Guatemala helping farce aspects of Guatemala's
legal system, aligned with the UN's legal team, to simultaneously take down the
president of Guatemala in another CC court case.

This farce on top of a farce, just keeps getting better and better or farcier and farcier,
depending on which side you are on.

Mining strike San Rafael will cost the country Q5 million daily
BY ALLAN MARTINEZJULY 6, 20170

With the strike of the San Rafael mine, the lives of 85,000 residents of San Rafael Las Flores who benefit from the salaries of their family members who work in the mine are affected . 600 suppliers of materials and supplies , 17 thousand direct jobs, Q5 million in daily taxes  and 50 million in royalties that the municipality receives to invest in the town , are some of the damages quantified so far would not receive the country.

(1) Given the economic impact of the country and the bad image that is projected on the lack of legal certainty caused by the Supreme Court of Justice, (2) the Coordinating Committee of Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial and Financial Associations (CACIF) ruled against the resolution of the CSJ for the labor suspension of the mining company.

(You can also read: CIG: Resolution of CSJ is nefarious and frustrating)

The organized business sector expressed concern that this resolution, which  has an impact on workers, their families and communities and puts their jobs, income and social and economic benefits at risk for the entire country , said the president of Cacif, Antonio Malouf

"The spokesperson for the mine, Andrs Dvila, added that Mina San Rafael had already suspended work after the blockades on the road by the residents of Casillas , since this is the only entrance to the municipality of San Rafael Las Flores and the mine.

With the resolution of the CSJ, only the suspension became official, "he added.

(1) Dvila also reported that one of the reasons for the amparo filed by the Environmental and Social Legal Action Center (CALAS) is that in San Rafael las Flores there is a Xinca population that was not consulted about the construction of the mine but it was already recognized that there is an indigenous population in the munipio. (2) "The Xinca Parliament has already recognized that there is no indigenous population of their ethnic group in San Rafael Las Flores . The National Registry of Persons also recognized the appreciation of parliament.

(1) He also mentioned that the residents of Casillas blame the mining company for provoking the tremors that occurred at the beginning of June throughout the country (2) despite the fact that this assumption was already denied in a study carried out by the Institute of Seismology Vulcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh)

The representative added that they have had the accompaniment of CACIF to present the Memorial of Appeal to the Constitutional Court and will wait for the suspension to be withdrawn because there is already a precedent. (Case Oxec I and II).

(You can also read: MEM states that Mina San Rafael complies with the legislation and has paid 42.5 million)

President Malouf added that there can be no contradiction between the courts when she visits the president and founder of Grupo Puntacana, Frank Ranieri,  who  want to make a strong investment in the country.

(1) Moments after the pronouncement (suspension lift), (2) the corporate board delivered the Provisional Amparo Appeal in the Constitutional Court in the hope of a quick resolution.

me- no such luck! The farce goes on!!!!!
