The hypocrisy reeks to high heelllll. Only environmentalismproblems could be cited as keeping THO from operating the mine and keeping
it a going concern able to pay it’s bills associated with the Escobal's ie San Rafael
region's, silver mine. Otherwise, the wider regions’ natives who were blocking the
mine on environmental issues, and not as far as we know, wanting to be included
in the same natives deal of the San Rafael region with THO, would have gotten an
agreement with THO a long time ago.
But if environmental problem was shutting down THO from operating and not being
able to pay its bills associated with the San Rafael mine, forcing it to sell to get
something rather than nothing, then how can PAAS take over what the natives out
side the San Rafael region don't want to cause anymore environmental problems
over????
Either the complaining natives outside the San Rafael region don't want any mine
operating because of environmental problems or they want to be included in the
benefits that the San Rafael region’s natives are getting.
But that is not what the natives outside the San Rafael region are saying. Rather
they don't want a mine at all operating even with the new vote. It shouldn't matter
who is operating the escobal or San Rafael silver mine, they don't want it operating.
But then why doesn't the Guatemala constitutional high court force a quick vote
and get it over with. Why the stalling and PAAS stepping in and saying they will
buy THO's silver mine and other mines in Peru and Timmins, if don't have an
agreement already lined up. There are several criminal cases there THO could win
if once again it wouldn't go bankrupt in the process. But it will!
If outsie natives really do want the silver mine operating and included in the benefits
the San Rafael natives are getting, then the Guatemala constitutional highest court,
couldn't have shut down THO's mine from operating. Just make sure that the new
vote and agreement between the wider regions' natives and THO happened as soon
as possible. Instead the court is telegraphing to THO we are going to bankrupt you by
stalling the vote and not operating the mine in the mean time. Knowing THO can't pay
off the debts if not operating San Rafael silver mine which is the only one capable of
paying off the building of the mine there?
Too bad THO couldn't have waited out the several years of not working the mine,
and seeing if pressure by the gov't and even the outside natives who probably really
want the benefits from the mine the San Rafael natives were getting, to agree to terms
with THO.
But THO couldn't wait out the stalling of the new native vote, including the votes
from the wider regions' natives surrounding San Rafael region, and would go bankrupt
waiting out the show down.
There are criminal cases there, that THO could win but likewise would take years
and bankrupt it in the process of prosecuting them without the San Rafael silver mine
being allowed to stay in operation in the process. Even if appealed to the world court
it would take the same amount of years time to win, but can't if not an active mine there
to pay of the debts there, in the process of prosecuting it.
Too bad THO couldn’t just sell the Silver mine and keep the rest of the mines in
Peru and Timmins, but without knowing whether the natives outside San Rafael
really want a mine at all, they couldn’t wait out that process either. They would have
to get an agreement with the outside natives to keep the silver mine in order to sell
the San Rafael silver mine. But in that case there would be no need to sell it. LOL !!!!
What a farce!
