As of October 11, 2010, the Rare Earth/Strategic Metals Index included 24 securities of companies with a market capitalization range of between approximately $157 million and $370 billion and an average market capitalization of $1.2 billion.
According to Barron’s top stocks in the index include Iluka Resources, an Australian zircon producer, and Lynas Corp., also in Australia. Other top holdings include: Titanium Metals [TIE19.680.24(+1.23%)] , Thompson Creek Metals [TC12.061.34(+12.5%)], Molycorp [MCP35.741.85(+5.46%)] and RTI International Metals[RTI31.11-0.04(-0.13%)].
