TD could distribute
some of that excess capital as a special dividend to shareholders. That would cause buying, which in turn would force shorts to cover, otherwise they'd be on the hook to PAY that special dividend out of their own pockets. It would be a nice way to restore SP to where it should be.

I couldn't agree more. Now, let the investor relations department at TD know how you feel. I have already done so and they need to hear from as many shareholders as possible. That is the only time they will act.
