Canadian Pension FundA take over by Talisman in any regard would be positive for the oil and gas sector in general. It could help signal M&A in the Canadian market and for that matter possible a international event. I would love to see a deal take place for Talisman as an Albertan and a Canadian. I believe it would be correct for Teachers and government pensions to value invest into the Canadian market on certain long life assets. Some oil sands companies in Canada produce oil for under $30/barrel. These are the kinds of investments that can span a generation just my opinion cheers Matthew P.S. Look at Syncrude at these levels look at COS for example long life asset, 100 years, trading at $4 billion market cap. Or even Suncor great long term value there.
