company's valuation

Been taking a look at RLH and have a few questions/concerns about the valuation of this company and why people are so bullish, would love your input:

Pros

  • strong management team with experience in emerging markets and political lobbying
  • facility to grow and harvest already setup and ready to produce/harvest in coming months
  • strong branding/marketing by the CEO
  • cash in hand for a decent amount of runway without too much dilution so far

Cons:

  • limited available markets - Netherlands' total legal truffles sales estimagted around 30 million a year - even if they capture 10% of the market share in the next few years we're looking at about 3 million dollars in revenue total y/y
  • As of yet unknown number of harvests in a year - can be anywhere between 2-4 weeks, so between 12-26 harvests a year, with an estimated volume of 100,000 grams per harvest = $150k /harvest in revenue, so max revenue here is roughly 3.9 million dollars (if assuming product is going to be priced at 15 euros) if all goes according to plan or as little as 1.8 million, with no real understanding of profitability
  • expansion will be very limited in the legal space until change in gov opinions

What justfiies a 16.5 million dollar market cap, let alone double or triple that? Am I missing something here? Or is it largely based on speculation and the hopes that more markets open up? what will set them up for more success than existing growers and distributors in the netherlands which are not all above board?

An easier way to address this is to pose the question from the oppsotie angle. why are tech companies with no revenue and a small asset base worth more than established bricks and moprtars organizations with decades of revenue history and profitability? the stock market doesn't work on fact anymore, it is based on emotion and speculation, as well as corruptness. it is a classic situation of ...more

DAYINDAYOUT. Why are you wasting time sitting on a board where you have no interest? Why sit on RLH's page on Stockhouse and CEO.CA all day when you arent invested in this stock?

Have I been wrong? The stocks just been going down since day 1 of trading. If the pumpers on this stock bought some maybe it would finally have some movement lol.

Why does Shopify trade at $1236......because it does......growth plus potential Same principle applies to RLH......growth and potential

Comparing a tech stock in an unregulated industry which has worldwide application to an emerging market like truffles is a bit of a stretch at this point in time. shopify has its stock price because not only is it a proven business model but its scalability is, and proved to be, exponential.  is there any indication that RLH can be an exponential growth stock in the next few months, let ...more

the advantage Red Light Holland has is first in the game.....high calculated risk results in high potential reward......I think a GIC would suit you better......I know a lot of posters like you play the passive aggressive game and try to talk the stock price down so you can scoop in and get a low ball position....its a decent try but everyone knows what you are doing....because if you see limited ...more
