Nickel in the Tesla Battery

Weight of Tesla battery pack
1,200 lbs (544 kgs).

Other features such as glass roof and a frameless safety glass also contribute to the reduced weight. Tesla S has a massive battery weighing 1,200 lbs (544 kgs).
