Attn: THEPOPE6 - Christmas Warning
Ok, then - prove my intentions.
I have always predicted growth for UNB and caution in the short-term. How is it predicting $1.00 by the summer a bash?
You know why you are wrong about Christmas? Christmas is a tax-loss selling season. A lot of those people who bought UNB at above 30 cents will sell their positions, which at best will diminish the chance at significant gains.
Any average investor knows that most stocks make significant moves in the Spring / Summer, at the start of new year.
My predictions are based on reality, not some childish fantasies.

r u suggesting that everyone sells there shares for tax purposes during the next few months?? So then do all companies not move during the christmas months, or just unb???
just a young investor trying to understand.

All I am saying some people will sell their shares in December to claim as a loss against their income tax and will re-buy in January. This is a standard trading pattern for those who bought the stock at the peak levels, causing slow / negative growth in December and positive growth in January / February.

Take UNB as example. 5 million shares crossed hands at .28-.30 level. Lets say it is still trading at .24 in December on a low volume. A lot of those who bought at .28-.30 will take that 4-6 cent loss to pay less tax and sell in December causing a temporary downtrend. However, almost immediately in January they will rebuy their position to protect their initial investment, causing an uptrend.

Thus, the end of December is the best time to add to your position - you can get a lot of cheapies thanks to those sellers.

Sevster,
If you think UNB will be trading in the lower .20's in
December, I don't think you should be here.
With the road built and moly about to be trucked out,
the 20's will be history by then!!!

You are right, a MAJOR news release will break that tax-loss pattern.
The scenario I pointed out will happen given no major news releases, which is a possibility.

Do you think were dealing with a 5 dollar stock. This is a penny stock and was at one time a speculative 9 cent stock but things have changed. This stock is for real and if you think people are going to sell it for a tax loss your more insane then your posts.By the end of this week no later then next it will be a heck of alot higher.Tax loss. Yeah right.
