RE:RE:Optics of the News Release drives price down. "Maybe market awaits results of the Peruvian election on June 6th..."
You may be right OleBole. Here's my take on the Peru election, I've heard the same rhetoric in the past I remember following the 2011 election in Peru. Left wing Humala was touted as destroying the mining industry, it never happened. Left wing or right wing it doesn't matter, the bottom line is that 60% of the economy in Peru revolves around mining, nobody or no ideology is going to shutdown the mining industry, it's the lifeblood of the country. I watched that election thinking if Humala wins it's the end, no such thing happened he beat out Fujimori by a tiny percentage. Guess what? The mining industry continued, I still remember where the government had step in and shut down protests that might disrupt the miners. It's all media noise, left or right it's irrelevant foreign exploration, development and mining will continue. It's 10 years later since the left won that election, they were in power for 5 years 2011-2016 , today you look at the mining sector and you still see 96 Canadian companies exploring, developing and mining in Peru. Whoever wins doesn't really matter, they both understand the importance of the mining sector to their economy. I provided a link below from 2011 same narrative as today.
