Afri-Can to Close Private Placement

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Jul 14, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --Afri-Can Marine Minerals Corporation ("Afri-Can") CA:AFA0.00%announces that it will close a non-brokered private placementtotalling up to $1.3 million, of which $1.0 million has been fullysubscribed. The private placement is subject to regulatory approval.

The private placement will comprise a maximum of 18,600,000 units("Unit") of Afri-Can, at a subscription price of
.07 per Unit. EachUnit will consist of one (1) common share and one-half (1/2) commonshare purchase warrant ("Warrant") of the Company. Each full Warrantwill entitle the holder thereof, during a period of 24 months fromthe date of closing of the placement, to purchase one (1) Afri-Cancommon share at an exercise price of
.11 per common share. Eachsecurity issued pursuant to the placement will have a mandatory four(4) month holding period from the date of closing of the placement.

Dear Paulidoon,your are correct, you have it all wrong.... and I am not certain that you understand what investing in a junior exploration Company entails...Every mining analyst or serious fund managers will tell you the same thing with regards to exploration companies:" NO MONEY, NO WORK AND NO RESULTS. NO RESULTS, NO DEVELOPMENT"Serious players are not bothered by to much dilution ...more

Perhaps you are correct Kegaston, in that I do not understand this whole junior exploration company business - although I did think that I had a good grasp of the issues. That is why I have been an investor in AFA for over 6 years now. BUT that's not the point that I was trying to make.Simple my instincts tell me that had Pierre just waited until the analysis of the recent ...more

Dear Paulindoon,Unfortunately, your idea is base on an hypothesis that does not seem to work under present market conditions.  Just look at the market reaction to the results from the EPl 3403 sampling. The results were very good, and yet all the positive movement was demolish by traders that shorted the stock and scared retails investors into panic when the stock did not break out more ...more

buybeware1, or you could argue as all fiat currencys are in the process of beeing debased and as interest rates are at historically low levels is quite a bad deal and as it's evident that buying bonds from debt burdened countries e.g lika almost all OECD countries possibly might be the most hazareous saving ever that more and more people this time will be moving their hard earned money in to ...more

buyerbeware1, thanx. I do happen to beleive it's the US consumers that are more dependent on cheap chines imports of clothing and consumer elecronic and that this labour cheap labour provided by china actally has halted overall infltionary preassure in the US. Now as oil prices is increases and will increase even more in the future that labor trade will become unattractive as transportation ...more
