Int'l Speculator refreshes Benton Resources buy

2022-02-15 20:02 ET - In the News

The International Speculator, in its Jan. 26, 2022, issue, refreshes its buy of Benton Resources Inc. (recently 21 cents), officially, Continue to buy up to 25 cents. The newsletter said buy three times between July 27, 2020, and Dec. 29, 2021, at prices ranging from 17 cents to 22.5 cents. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of the three buys, the $3,000 holding is worth $3,161, The writer notes that on Jan. 5, Benton's shareholding in platinum developer Clean Air Metals got a boost. Clean Air announced excellent drill results from its Thunder Bay North project in Ontario: 31 metres grading 3.9 grams per tonne platinum and 5.1 g/t palladium, plus 1.7 per cent copper and 0.63 per cent nickel. The writer is pleased that they are some of the best platinum results he has seen recently. Importantly, this drilling is on the edges of the known resource at the Thunder Bay North project. The deposit already hosts 850,000 ounces of platinum equivalent. This new drilling should help it expand, potentially above one million ounces. Benton owns 24.6 million shares of Clean Air, and the position is worth $5.5-million. If results like this continue, Benton's stock price should rise.
