Q: Why is ALV so thinly traded ? Aside from that, what is there not to like about this company? Sales, exploration, debt reduction and now a whopping US$.06 per share quarterly dividend.
ALV is still a small company at $145M market cap, even after a double this year. Insiders own 10% and it has only one Canadian analyst. It has only just started to grow revenue, but looks decent, and the dividend is attractive, though has only just been declared (that said, we love it when companies issue their first dividends). The sector is strong, but its Brazil focus does hold off some investors. Higher risk, but looking good.
