RE:RE:Gamechanger News just outNo, it means that for every 6 shares you have now you will have one. So, if you have 60,000 shares you end up with 10,000. The monetary value is the same because if the before value of one share is 6 cents the after value will be 36 cents. Companies like consolidation because it makes their stock look less of a penny stock. The down side is that individual shares have further to fall - and they often do. The rational thing to do when a consolidation is announced would be to sell all your shares and then if you want use that money to buy the new shares later when their price has dropped. But we seldom do. Those of us who buy shares at  3 cents or 5 cents or half a cent tend to be hopeful and hope is often not rational at all.
