Osisko's Malartic all over againMany are aware that Mr. Storm was a key financiar of Osisko and the Malartic project in eastern Canada. Many may not be aware that through the early exploration stages and through the more advanced exploration and drilling, that the company and project were often both attacked mercilessly by a mob of bashers and shorters and dark promoters. Garbage was strewn all over the land and the net as these scum did their dirty work. This barrage even included accusations of Osisko management being deceptive in promoting a project that would never be viable. It was often ugly. But, the believers held on through it all.
What do we see now? Osisko is a mega company and an industry leader all the way from early exploration, production and even in the royalty sector. Osisko is everywhere. The Malartic is now Canada's largest gold mine and one of the top 10 gold producers globally. The management team individuals that guided and steered Osisko through the challenges and steady progression and eventual multi-billion Malartic sale are now well regarded industry leaders in their own right.
