1250x700x700 METER UPDATE
CanadianAnimal (73) User Actions 5 minutes ago 2 Reads Post# 32492334 RE:1250x700x700 open pit????? After some quick research it appears the foot print would be approx. 4km x 3km to go 700m deep. Theres one close near Santiago thats 645m deep. Now I know there is alot more to it than that , but that should be ball park. Maybe we should invest in the blasting cap company. Thats frickin huge!!!!

If you can find a pic of the Grasberg open pit mine in Papua, Indonesia ,that looks close to the type of area Tudor would be dealing with. Man I sure wouldnt want to be driving those mining trucks on those edges. Those ladies and dudes have some big cahonies!!!

Too right!! Serious pucker power and bacon strips in your shorts when you drive those baby's! I think there is a mine in Nevada that is over a mile deep, I don't remember the name though, Those measurements are going to get quite a bit bigger for the Goldstorm. Still have to find the NE and SE edges!

There was a show from a few years ago, I can't remember the name but these guys were driving trucks I think somewhere in India. Man, it would turn my stomach everytime I would see them climb up those mountains to insane heights.

Some of the models I've heard about are open pit on top and underground mining for the deep stuff. Doing both at the same time. Food for thought.

ya I thought Kelvin Burton, said maybe something like 300m open pit then specialized strip. But that will come with a feasible study.
