RE: For the Enviro Worry Worts - Algae and ...I have a better idea.  Why don't we just shut down all oil sands projects, producing or under development.  Send everyone home.  Without pay of course, as I am sure you don't want your taxes to go up, right?

Send everyone home until someone demonstrates to a 100% confidence level that the os's can be developed with no negative environmental impacts.  None, notta!

That is the answer.  No cash flow to support continuing R&D.  Nope - scientists - Go Home!  No money to pay your wages.  No bread for your kitchen table, or to use to soak up the tailings ponds.

But may the gods ensure that Valerian's stock holdings continue to go only up!

Wish I had thought of this sooner.  Val had the ticket from day uno.
