AOS brings in Heavy Weights

Michael Langley has joined the board of directors of Alberta Oilsands Inc. Mr. Langley is a professional engineer with over 35 years experience in the oil and gas and chemical industries, the majority in heavy oil and oil sands. Mr. Langley held senior positions in several organizations including Husky Energy Inc., Ranger Oil Ltd. and Ensyn Petroleum, and he was co-founder of North American Oil Sands Corp., which was sold to Statoil in 2007. Current directorships include Tartan Canada Corp. and Drexan Energy Systems Inc. Mr. Langley was formerly a director of the Petroleum Research Centre in Regina, Sask., and is founder of the Oil Sands Executive Meeting Group in Calgary, Alta. Mr. Langley holds a BSc (honours) in chemical engineering and is a certified director (ICD.D) through the Institute of Corporate Directors, Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary.

 

 

 

Wayne Bobye has joined the board of directors of Alberta Oilsands Inc. Mr. Bobye is an experienced financial professional with significant expertise building relationships with equity analysts and investment bankers. Mr. Bobye has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having held senior positions with Triton Canada Resources, Talisman Energy Inc., Alliance Pipeline Ltd., Altex Pipeline Ltd. and UTS Energy Corp. Most recently, Mr. Bobye was the vice-president and chief financial officer of SilverBirch Energy Corp. Mr. Bobye is a certified management accountant, and holds a master of business administration degree and a bachelor of commerce degree.
