Teck increases shareholding to 30.35% of AQM

Are there any investors interested in AQM?
I just bought some and would appreciate having a conversation.
My reading is that this is positive for the company and its management.
AQM has a 30% direct interest in the joint venture involving Mitubishi and Teck.
I have yet to fully understand the plan for funding going forward but can only assume that AQM will have tocome up with 30% of the funds if they are to continue to have the 30% through to production.
Teck's increase in their position in AQM also gives them the right to participate in any stock offerings going forward. With a <15 million market cap and 30% of a project having a NPV of 980 million it would seem to me to have a major upside potential.

AQM already has the funds for its 30% share of the PFS. They got the money a while ago by selling to MItsubishi Metals, 20% of their stake in the Zafranal Project. Originally AQM had 50% of the property and Teck the other 50%. Now Teck mantains its 50%, AQM has only 30% and Mitsubishi has 20%. So AQM is fully funded for the PFS.

Your post only reinforces my position. AQM does not need to raise money at this point therefore there is no money to be made by the brokers in the way of fees. With a positive PFS they will then have to proceed to a full feasibility or do some interim operational work (water supply?) before making a production decision. When the next step is taken AQM will have to put up the 30% of the capex to ...more

I believe that AQM will be taken over either by Teck or Mitsubishi. There woul be very difficult for them to raise 450 $ million tthat corresponds to their 30% capex for zafranal.

I agree. In looking at the history it appears that the majority of the money that went into AQM was raised at  8-10 times the current price. There are substantial tax benefits to AQM if they can participate going forward. I have tried to find out through reading the history of AQM to see what caused the share price destruction and could not see any reason-there must be one and I would ...more

I believe the share price began to go down after AQM updated Zafranal's resource. They increased the amount of TM but substantially decreased the grade. It seems the market didn't like the news and the price started going down. Also, the release of the positive PEA did not affect the price by much. The share price traded at 4 - 5 cents for a while. It went up a little bit after Mitsubishi ...more

Even now, after TEck increased its ownership to 30%, the share price did not react to this news. It seems this stock has no 'visibility' in the market
