a look ahead

a look aheadwhat a long wait  this has been.  i ran the nr by a friend in the oil industry and he said that i should take the news as moderatley positive as niko doesnt sound super sure what is down there.  he said the mud weights they have to use in kurdistan sometimes make it more difficult to interpret the drilling metrics...so not really a surprise.
i remember that sarqala encountered well control problems when they drilled through the gulneri seal which is at the transition of cretaceous and jurassic.  i really hope niko stops at the bottom of the cretaceous because things may get ugly with a 6" bit.  i would also like to see some moderate sp appreciation which may tell us that there are oil shows at the surface...if that was said in the nr we definitly would have seen a bounce.
