RE:RE:RE:RE:Green carpet awards My understanding is that Hologram is used mainly for virtual human-size 3D projection in front of in-person live audience. You can really WOW people with the human-like effect to engage the live audience. VGS on the other hand is mainly designed for teleporting people from various locations to the same virtual stage for broadcasting with the best video quality. So for us Youtube viewers, while we are very impressed by the VGS tech and quality, it's hard to imagine a 3D Hologram in front of our 2D computer screens. I guess this is a show case of all different new tech/innovations and how they can apply to a virtual event. Also, the main theme and focus of the show is a mix with real and virtual reality and therefore using Hologram is still a huge plus. Finally, this is the very first time I saw a hologram presentation in "bright light" which is quite interesting ...
