Heard on the cyber street: CVE expansion got a new twistCVE has other proposed SAGD projects fully permitted or in the pipeline. One is Narrows Lk.
A contributor 'jstratt' on another energy board found an interesting comment from CVE ceo latest post Q3 transcript.
A great example, I think would be Narrow’s Lake. So that was a project that for decades was thought of in this Company, and frankly construction started on it as a standalone Greenfield facility. And we have made so many advances in our ability to move emulsion and [steam] (ph) long distances that we are going to develop Narrow’s Lake, but it is really going to be developed as pads at Narrow’s lake with the emulsion being brought back to Christina lake for processing and treating them.
With technology advancement this once proposed and deferred $1.3 - 1.9 Billion project, now no longer consider a full scale greenfield SAGD plant, but a lower cost remote arm (pad) of Christina Lk facility. Very cool.
Way ultra cooler would be if they replaced the steam portion with AXE RF XL.
