EDV Acquires SMF - Good For African Gold Plays Like AXM

EDV Acquires SMF - Good For African Gold Plays Like AXM

Now that the shock of what's happened around the world with COVID19 has settled, companies and individuals are going to get defensive, especially with stimulus coming into global markets. That means gold prices are going up and therefore the most lucrative gold assets will be high priority takeover targets. The Central African Republic has been ready for business as per their first mining expo last month and Axmin is ready to move forward with Au Metals to get Passendro setup. $30 million market cap for a $700 million USD NPV asset with major SOE backed partners ready to get it operational and a production cost of less than $500 an ounce. I'm not worried, the Chinese will make sure Axmin gets operational and likely buy them out down the road here. But also keep in mind that Senegal is also heating up and having 20% and 17 royalty targets on 338km2 of gold bearing land also adds value here. USD is 1.45 to CDN exchange rate, so Axmin is literally trading at 1-2 pennies on the dollar in terms of value.

From a Chinese/CAR government page this weekend, you can see the Chinese are supporting CAR because they import half of their goods. This country is very strategic for China, hence why they've spent years and billions investing in healthcare, infrastructure, security, etc. The end game is to exploit all the resources, that includes all assets of Axmin. But Shirong, the largest shareholder with 65 million AXM shares, will not just give up the company for nothing after waiting 7 years (purchased in 2013 for 15 cents, $20 million worth). He will make sure we get a good price for our stock.
