LONGUEUIL, QC, Feb. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Azimut Exploration Inc. ("Azimut")
announces that on January 30, 2008, it has received from NWT Uranium
Corporation ("NWT") a Curative Notice, together with documentation and data,
following the delivery by Azimut, on December 17, 2007, of a Notice of Default
(see press release dated December 18, 2007). This Notice was referring to a
large number of NWT's specific obligations that were not, in Azimut's opinion,
complied with pursuant to the terms of the North Rae and Daniel Lake property
option agreements.
The option agreements both provide that Azimut may terminate the
agreements only if NWT has not, within 60 days following Azimut's Notice of
Default, given notice that it has cured such failure.
Azimut is currently evaluating the extensive documentation and data
submitted by NWT with the Curative Notice, in order to determine if the
alleged defaults have now been corrected by NWT.
Azimut is a mineral exploration company using cutting-edge targeting
methodologies to discover major ore deposits. Azimut is a leading explorer in
Quebec with 50 exploration properties totaling 27,000 claims for uranium, gold
and nickel.
