What is important to note here is Dr Lausen refers to the 4th and 5th stage zones that host the green and yellow quartz are the zones with gold in deposits worthy of profitable mining.

Green and yellow quartz usually hosts the highest grades of gold in the Oatman district. In the past grades averaging around 40 to 50 gpt have been encountered.
