RE:RE:RE:Heard from a good source Paramount was the bidder"well my source is an analyst as i have access to with IB account."

IB account? Not familiar with this type of account. Could you specify? As for your source, if he/she is an analyst, well, that's the problem. An analyst with whom? These guys usually have their OWN motives & agendas, and a lot of the time it's to misdirect, deflect & twist the truth to the masses while they keep the real info to themselves. The ONLY way to assure yourself that your source OR any other for that matter is the real deal and IS reliable, is if he/she has provided constant reliable information on a regular basis. Is this the case? If not don't put too much emphasis or fate in it.

"i think you are underestimating the list of potential suitors."

Actually i'm not .......and i haven't done so for some time. As i do relaize with the help of time, XP & my knowledge of this sector that some "unexpected" things do happen. So i'm not underestimating anyone or anything but we must still keep things into perspective within certain reasonable parameters to make sound & logical assessments or conclusions. As an extreme example i'll state the following. In the case of potential suitors for PIpe i don't expect ConocoP to make any overtures towards Pipestone or anytime in our lifetime. Because the odds are pretty much nil.

"he told me "90% it was paramount" but he is still skeptical. thought pou was a "1:1" odd for pipestone with cpg 2:1 & aav 3:1. his views not mine."

Well, in Paramount's case, i continue to hold the belief that it doesn't make sense for them, especially after their last move. And you still haven't given me a reason why Paramount would do this after divesting some major assets just a short time ago. Crescent is DONE for at least one year maybe two, so their out of the picture completely.

As for Advantage, they have miuch better options than Pipestone. Which they could go either one of two ways. As AAV is mostly gas, to the tune of 90%, if they wish to continue being highly leveraged to only NG, then for them Birchcliff would make much more sense as they would enjoy massive synergies & cost savings by merging with them. On the other hand, IF they wish to deleverage away from NG to make the company more stable, then an oily producer like Kelt would more likely....not Pipestone. So either way, Pipe loses with AAV's objectives.

"peters & co did an interview with pou in which they pointed to a looming acquisition."

Ahhh Peters...lol......the MASTERS of deception, insider info & leaks. No other current broker comes close to the level of "insight" & deception these guys have into the Canadian energy industry. The only other entity that came close or gave them a run for their money was First Energy. And if you don't know WHO First Energy was, then you don't KNOW this sector really.

As for Peter's pointing to a "loming" acquisition for Paramount, as they don't specify whom, i'm guessing YOU assumed it's Pipestone. They probably know what POU is up to, and like i said previously, i do agree that there's something up at POU, some type of transition that's in the process of happening. Especially after the Kaybob sale. But that "looming" acquisition is NOT Pipetsone, more likely it's Nuvista. Which makes sense in every aspect.....IMO.

"nva & cpg ceo's recently on record with interest in M&A. pipestone is beside both of them. then u have ovintiv, kelt, advantage, tamarack, all in the area ramping up."

As i said, CPG is done for now, so they are out. So is Ovintiv with their huge move into the Permian and doubling down there. I gave you my assessment for AAV, so i don't think their a likely suitor. Why would Tamarack figure in here? Most their assets are NOT in Montney, i think they're more of a Cardium play than anything else. If i'm wrong then please clarify. So the only ones you remaining are the ones i basically state all the time. Nuvista & Kelt.

Kelt is still a long shot now imo, because they seem to be in some "transition" as swell and could be the target of someone else. So even though i have as a possibility for a merger, the odds don't gavor them as they did in the past. Then you jave Nuvista, which imo opinion is stuck at the hip with POU and depends what they do. The Kaybob asset sale was a first step in that union. So we just have to see who acts first and where they go with thse relationship. But If POU goes a different way, Nu is still a real possibility.

But the REAL suitors in my mind are STILL HH & CNQ. Like i keep on harping, HH didn't go IPO for no apparent reason. So GMT & RiverStone guys still have plans. And CNQ? Well friends, Canadian UnNaturelle must be salavating & licking their chops right about now seeing where Pipestone's stock is at this moment, which is in the the literal dumps, right where CNQ likes it.
