RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Blackbird Acquires more land To continue this thread about consolidation, etc. We have seen in the last couple weeks, three seperate deals to increase the company's land holdings in the Montney using shares as currency.

Yesterday, Painted Pony (another Montney player, except in NE British Columbia) issued shares to two comanies (one private the other public) and raised equity to more or less double the size of the company. In consunction with that they also did a bought deal that sold out in 30 minutes and was heavily over-subscribed.

Notwithstanding that, I suspect that if there is consolidation that will happen, it most likely will be for a blockbuster land acquisition with a neighbouring land holder. As a condition of the deal, then a TSX listing is to occur and a consolidation at the same time (possibly with a new financing).

Just my hunch, for what little it is worth.
