RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:warrants

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:warrantsLuck can produce good results as long as your luck holds and your hit the sell button with gains you consider as "enough" and don't get too greedy.  If you are not basing your targets on the fundaments and sector comparisons etc then a target dollar or percentage return is your next best bet, setting a fixed timeline for the investment is also another way to help manage when you will sell.

On the warrants, to better understand how they work it is best to work out the math by comparing a purchase of warrants vs. the purchase of shares using a dollar amount and not get too wrapped up trying to understand how warrants work by comparing one warrant to one share.  If you run the numbers.. say using $1000 on warrants and $1000 on shares then targeting a shareprice of $20 or $30.  Because warrants trade so much cheaper than shares you get a lot more warrants than shares for the same money.  Because when you exercise a warrant at a fixed price you could be then getting a lot more shares for a fixed price rather than the price which the shares are trading for on the open market.  When researching warrants you will see this referred to as "leverage".

Warrants are typcially traded by long term investors (years) with targets on the shares that are much higher than current shareprices.  If the trader is correct and the shareprice does indeed go up over the warrant price (plus the price they paid for the warrant) they can exercise (aka convert) the warrants into shares then sell those shares on the market for the much higher shareprice.

Hope that helps a bit.

PS... I can get moody when my coffee maker breaks... I run out of coffee... or when IR annoys me... outside of HEXO IR there are a ton of positives on the company that the market lost sight of for awhile but some investors may be starting to circle back and realizing now what the business has been doing over the last couple of years... business for HEXO has been Good, very Good... try their drinks... they're good too.  :)
