I would be surprise that the law allows the production of beer with alcohol and THC. Personnally, I would like it. The two substances do not add up. These are two different effects. When I say it doesn't add up, if you took so many beers that you are so drunk, you might also be too high and the two together would worsen the situation. I don't promote driving under the influence of substances, and the following is an example. A driver under the influence of MJ can drive as good as a straight driver. Though if you are too high, then it will become less safe. I say less safe because if you are concentrated on your driving, you might even drive better than when you are straight. MJ can make people more creative. Where it can be dangerous is the group effect. If there are other people in the car, they can have fun, joking and laughing but it doesn't mean people in the car would do this and if the driver tell you to shut up, you will. "Hey, let's be serious guy, I'm driving". It would be more a teen attitude or a young, immature adult. People can be very serious and act normally when high. I smoked over a period of about 4 years when I fequented bars and stopped when I met my girlfriend. I was not a pot head, I was a drinker, so were my friends. Though have of them didn't smoke often. I would never spend a Friday night without a couple of beers, but we often didn't smoke at all. It was just for the effect and the fun. Me and some friends had a sense of humor but on other tables, people smoking could be very serious depending of their temperament. What I wrote above doesn't apply to a first-time smoker since they might be in a state, laughing and having too much fun and not being used to the effect. I would not trust a first-time smoker driving but after he is used to it. Keep in mind that I am talking when I was young and I drove motorcycles over a five-years period. We were driving above the limit but not so fast unlike when we were straight. I was never too high when I rode my motos to impair my driving even when I smoked a lot, but sometime I was extra careful because of the alcohol after drinking two more beers than usual.. or three! :p It would be interesting to know how much alcohol was consumed, or other drugs taken, when they say that there was a % of drivers who had MJ in their blood. Your co-worker could smoke MJ, and you may never notice. He will do the job but if he drinks alcohol, he will not be productive and it will be hard for him to hide it. Btw, I never smoked at my job. I just thought about this. A responsible driver is unlikely to have an accident under the influence of MJ while the same responsible driver can be implicated in an accident drinking too much alcohol. Now, you will say that the guy drinking alcohol was irresponsible. Right, he was irresponsible because he was drunk and I don't mean to excuse him. When drunk, the nice guy that you know can become a monster. Mj is not very addictive though some people can be hook psychologically. If you consume for the first time, you might like it, have fun and take some on occasions. You will not prostitute yourself or rob a depanneur to get high, and it doesn't cost a lot unlike hard drugs.
