BlackRock Municipal Income Trust (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide current income exempt from federal income taxes. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its managed assets in investments the income from which is exempt from federal income tax (except that the interest may be subject to the alternative minimum tax). The Fund may invest directly in securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives. The Fund's investment policies provide that it invests at least 80% of its total assets in investment grade quality municipal obligations issued by or on behalf of states, territories and possessions of the United States and their political subdivisions, agencies or instrumentalities, each of which pays interest that, in the opinion of bond counsel to the issuer, is excludable from gross income for federal income tax purposes. Its investment adviser is BlackRock Advisors, LLC.

I am just skimming over the board and seeing what I missed. Seems like someone forgot to give Oldtimer his meds so far... ;) Kidding Buddy ! ..

If I can help out a new-comer prior to the start of trading tomorrow I will.. no sense trying to learn with the distraction of trading.. plus bashers.. plus... well... plus me saying "hello" to bashing shorters.... ;)

I have no reason to doubt the legitimacy of your query.

Regrettably, there have been too many manipulators (shorts needing to cover) on this board trying to influence the price to their advantage, hence the trigger replies/reactions to your inaugural post from a few long time members who should know better.

I recommend you wait until Monday to post your question again to get a more reasoned and unemotive response to your question. Quinlash, I am fairly certain, and spectra7, will be more open to providing an explanation that is thoughtful and respectful.
