NICKEL + COPPER - - LAKE WANAPETEI LARGER FOOTPRINTIronically -
Scadd has never seen an ore characterization - or is it, i've never come across one.
Nickel and Copper ore - can turn blue and green.
Our ores have never been assayed for - copper + nicekl at the Scadd.
We do have green, dark green, blue cores.
Pentlandite - is a nickel ore that is mined in. Sudbury.
It's an iron nickel = ore.
Here's a great vidual map - depicting - land elevations around Greater Sudbury.
Amazing - Wanapetei Lake was much larger.
It encompassed - Rathburn, Alwyn, Scadd all the way down to Glade.
Notice the waterway entering upper right side of, Wanapetei -
Norice how Wanapetei was engulfing McD's mineral claims in this zonation.
Soidic, Limes, Chlorides,
Waters far saltier than, most think.
Hnece the lmestone and chloric remenants in depoists - present day.
Notrice the - elongated - outcrops
from upper Alwyn right down into Scad and swinging westerly.
Not hard to envision - larger footprint of Lake Wanapetei.
Nor is it - that the - river watershed - upper rtight sdie of, Wanapetei would course right over
McD's claims... causing additional errosion and fallout of sediements.
I would say... high probability - these elongatedd outcrops from upper Alwayn down to Scadd and beyond swinging westerly... could host same geology.
Nickel is a difficult mineral to place into solution.
Dilute chlric and sulphur will react.
But.. nitirc is far better.
If nickel ore - were to be in a hydroxide form - grene / vlue colored ores...
It might need the help of, nitric acid.
Which is where one needs to study - ammonia - which is apparent in salt ore bodies.
Ammonia is related to nitrogen. ( assoc - hydrogen / oxygen levels in water )
Here's the map - ( yes, waters had a far larger footprint )
Open in other window - analyze the elevations.
Incase image does not show - here's a link -
https://eoimages.gsfc.nasa.gov/images/imagerecords/148000/148844/sudbury_srtm_2000.jpg HERE ARE TWO - BATHOLITH - depths of Lake Wanapetei -
Tke note of it's unusual inner shape - and - how the deepest depths - are towards the southern
most parts of lake - even near the watershed exits -
Sorry... but i'm more prone to beleive - historical volcanic pipe - low seating.
Not cone.
Such would support the - sodicpresence of various kinds of salts.
And add, elevated tempretures to assist the transition of metals.

With nickel reserves running out, Sudbury is an expensive place for Vale to do business

mCd - is building district scale - lands.
Stretching 30+ km easterly of, Sufbury.
Ores are running dry in, Suds.
Where will Vale and Glencore get their new ores to keep operations up n running ?
Small juniors finding the next deposits.
Now ask... is it fair ot role small juniors ?
Where does this transfer of wealth end up ?
Certainly doens't favor investors who are small time shareholders.
Cheers.....
